I have a grape vine climbing thing that was in the tank with the cornsnakes when my dad brought them hme, its prettt much a few peices of grapevine screwed together . i want to put it in the tank for my new Bearded Dragon thats coming is it easier or better to rinse in in the sink with diluted bleach or to bake it?

what temperatures should I bake it at for how long?

I would bake it myself. Bleach is hard to rinse off of wood.
250F for 30 minutes.

I wouldn't use bleach on grapevine, it is rather soft, I would be afraid it would absorb some it. It is a relatively soft wood.

I would also watch it closely in the oven, Grapevine is full of sugars, I would think the heat might force some of them out. That might make a big mess.

ok , now I just need to convince my mom to let me use the oven
and i'll watch it closley while its in there

I have to agree that baking is the safest way, not only for you, but your reptile too.

my mom freaked! When she came home and I had 2 logs baking in the oven and I was boiling a huge rock on the stove! she shook her head and told me not to tell her, that she didnt think she could handle it!
