Argentine Black & White Tegu

I've spoken to a local dealer about Argentine B & W Tegus and I was wondering if anyone can give me some words of advice/wisdom, etc., about raising one. I've done as much reading on the www as I can, but the information is sort of limited (as well you might know). The dealer here won't have any babies until around August so I've got plenty of time to do my homework.

Thank you, in advance, for your information.

Brendan

Well first off they get pretty big. Most top out at aroud 4'. You would need a large enclosure when he gets done growing, probably around an 8'x4'x4'. You could go smaller but I would use this size. It would have to be at least 4' tall because they like digging so they will need a subtrate that can be used for digging. I don't know exactly what advice you are looking for so if you have any individual questions than feel free to ask.

How big is yours? They have one at my pet store that's a store pet but he must be 4' and have a girth of 10+ inches. I think they spoil it though. They also have a cuban rock ig that's a store pet.
