today, my ball python who escaped 27 days ago has been found! He was found in a clothes drawer. how he got there I dunno. Now the next step. How do I kno if he has a cold? he sounds congested but a lot of snakes sound like that. Arr colds bad and how do you know if a snake has one. I have never taken my herps to a vet. I have someone who is trained to look at him. So help me out about the cold. I dunno how to edit my pic so it is small enough to upload.

If the snake sounds congested it is probably a respiratory infection. the congested sound will soon be accompanied by excess mucous and possibly bubling.The snake needs to see a vet. A RI is serious and will probably need antibiotics that can only be administered by a vet.
Sorry but a lot of snakes do NOT sound congested if they are in good health. If the snake is wheezing he has a problem.
Who? Trained how? A lay person is not going to be able to properly diagnose illness.
