It's Been A Long Time

Hello everyone. its been ages... or so it feels! i had lost the website address, DUH me, not too clever sometimes! anywho since its been a while I will update everyone on whats been going on...
if any of you remember, my Iguana Cloud had a nasty absess on his dewlap... well after draining it and giving him meds for a few weeks, his dewlap scarred over. Then the scar fell off, leaving him with what looks like a huge bite, taken out of his dewlap. it seems to be very good for him, as he can now bend his dewlap back to normal...
Another thing, our Basilisk is doing marvelous he still hates everyone, and spazes out when u open his cage, but he is growing and looking better as each day comes!
I am sad to say yesterday my hermit crab, Hermyne, passed. i can home from the petstore and changed her water dish, to find her out of her shell and dead
our scorpion is doing well, has been growing like crazy, and is very fat! he has been eating 3 crickets at once, durring each feeding. one in each of his pinchers and one in his mouth!
Webley, my zebra T is also doing great. looks as though she will molt again soon. hope I dont miss it this time! she also is getting alot more friendly, and actually doesnt mind being held now. so YAY for webley!
as for the rest of my pets... one of my cats ate my mice, my bullfrog, tad disappeared (i think cloud may have eaten her). I started a Salt Water tank. which is going great! my fresh water is doing well also. We now have 3 kitties, Simba, sabbath and Bobcat (our newest) and we have the three dogs, which Zero (our bull terrier) will be starting obediance soon
anyways, thats all my updates. cant wait to hear back from everyone

Hello,
Welcome back. Glad to hear that everything is going well for you. Not sure if you noticed, but the site has grown considerably recently. lol We also have added a chat and are working on adding a store to the site. The activity on the site has increased, and things here are going well.
I too added a new family member to the house. At the last show, where I met Dominick,Lyn,and her husband Steve, I purchased a BP.
Hope to see you on the site more often now. Welcome back.

If its feeding a live mouse that bothers you you can always feed frozen.

Merlin,
yes I know I can feed frozen, its not the thought of the mouse being alive and getting eaten, its the fact of witnessing a snake eating a mouse. i had mice as pets, so it would be like... seeing a dog get eaten or something... u know? lol it makes me sad..
but I really would love a snake. the snakes they have in our pet store are albino miami corn, california kingsnake or albino california king.. do u have any suggestions?

I understand. I too had kept mice and rats (and everything else I could get my hands on) as pets. You just have to keep in mind that these are not pets but feeders.

For a first snake I always recommend corns. They get big enough to be a nice handful but not big enough to be dangerous, they are voracious feeders and come in a wide variety of colors. They are hardy and not very demanding in care requirements.

My cal king is the only snake in my collection that routinely gnaws on me!

i must agree with merlin, i have a few corns, and I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. im new here so I dint get to meet you before, but I am certainly glad to see another person who can successfully care for an iguana. i myself, could not and am too afraid to try. i dont want to be the cause of any animals death. anyways, i look forward to pics of your tarantula and scorpion. WELCOME BACK

hey there, i really do like the corn, but am not too much for albinos. They kinda creep me out. even my mice that were albino (i had about 5 of them) they were just not normal LOL. the cali king is really nice b/c I love the color to him. black and white two very nice colors esp. fer a snake

also El SD Fan i am full of love for my Iguana, i had another one, but he had to be put down, due to bad bones. poor little marko. but now we have cloud, we actually had cloud at the same time as marko... but I love cloud to peices, he was sort of a rescue, and I got so attatched right away. he is very grouchy most times, but he still love me
here are pics of my scorp and tarantula... i have posted them along time ago, but since u are new... i can post again for u!
catch ya
Jo
