Also, unfortunately where he is from, we do not have an ASPCA. We have animal shelters and that kind of thing but not an actual ASPCA. That would be a dream come true for me, lol.

I would also try to talk to him and see where you can get with that. If it is one of the big chain stores here, they are required to have a vet, they are also required to treat their animals. If it is a ma and pa store, try talking, if that does not work, call animal control. Chances are you will get nowhere with them, but try anyway.

If the animals they are selling, that are in bad conditions, and they are native to your area, then you can contact the department of natural resources.

I work in a pet store in Philly and I ask that you understand certain things before pointing fingers. One is that while myself and the other employees know what at least to look for problem wise and basic temporary enclosure requirements, we do not control the condition the animals come in. Many reptile order forms we get state clearly that even live delivery isnt guaranteed, let alone healthy. Now granted we dont bother getting chameleons because they are so easily stressed and we do not display sick herps, and it sounds like there may be problems at your store in question, but make sure you get the full story first.
