Actually I am torn in two directions over this.
On the one side I can see the inclusion of the snake "prop" as signifying to children that most snakes are normal harmless creatures and not an evil thing to be killed!
On the other hand it could turn into something like that Paris Hilton, dog under the arm, fashion stupidity and everybody wanting to have one to carry around with them,..
until they get tired of it and go on to the next fad!

I have to disagree with you on the "its not cute and pink" part of that.
Well, not the pink part. I've never seen a pink python, or any kind of pink snake for that matter. Or any other kind of reptile or amphibian that's pink.. that makes me wonder if there is one...
Anyways. Back to point.
I think snakes are adorable x]
I don't understand what people find so scary...
Like, its okay to be scared of heights and stuff.
That could really hurt you...
But all the snakes that aren't poisonous could do would be bite or squeeze.
Dogs and cat's would probably hurt you worse than a snake could...
I just don't understand it.

And now I've even taking a liking to spiders.
I never though I would...
But I doubt I'll ever start liking the milipedes and roaches and all. Hah

I think it's really sad how they're marketing this child, now.

I thought that back when Irwin first died. The public was so fascinated by this guy's death that they started eating up anything to do with him. His daughter kind of stepped into that limelight, and now she suddenly everywhere. But I can't help feeling sorry for her, because in a year or two, people will get tired of their replacement croc hunter and move on, and that's going to be a pretty big blow. Plus now she's always going to be kind of locked into "the Crocodile Hunter's Daughter" persona. What if she grows up and wants to do something completely different?

Okay, I realize that that was kind of a tangent. I just feel sorry for her.
