Whew!
Talk about an adrenaline rush! Last night I was sitting on the couch with our new baby Bearded Dragon. All of a sudden she darted across my shoulder and I lost sight of her. I jumped up and looked all around but didn't see her anywhere! Thinking she might have gone down behind the cushions in the couch we ripped those off and NOTHING! We ran our hands down in the crevices of the couch, still no Bearded Dragon! The only thing we could think of was she was down inside the couch itself,....NOW WHAT! I flipped over the couch but couldn't see anything due to the fabric that covers the bottom. Kathy yelled to get a knife and cut the stuff off! Ya just gotta love a woman that will sacrifice a perfectly good peice of furniture for a lizard!
I ran and got a sharp knife and was preparing to do surgery on the couch when I happened to look over in front of the iguana cage and there the little stinker stood just watching the whole procedure! I'm sure she thought the whole thing quite entertaining!
From now on she gets her very own hip leash when she is going to be out!

Haha you have me in stitches!! They are little buggers for that,. luring you into a false sense of security then causing trouble I find ours always head straight for the places they're not allowed to go - they give us this look as if to say, "haha i'm not as stupid as you think I am, and I know you don't want me going under this tv stand so i'm going to.... na na na na na"

Ha Ha Merlin, they sure know how to get us worried, bet she knew what she was doing too, sneering at you lol.
I was the same this morning with Ozzy, he run up my arm, jumped on my shoulder when I was tending to his cage, and he disappeared into thin air, I was looking all around and couldnt see him, he was on my back, lol, I was all a fluster, I couldnt reach him to get him off, he was just running around my back, I was worried where he would jump next, so I had to sit on my bed and try to get him to jump on the bed, he did eventually and was safely returned to his cage

I know what you mean! Our adult male is big enough that it isn't hard to keep track of him and he usually stays pretty close anyway. The little one is still a bit skittesh and small enough that it would be very easy for her to get lost! And THEN the destruction would REALLY begin!

That is hilarious, they think it is just so funny to freak us out and put caos around the house to find them. I find mine will run to the top of the life size stuffed boxer I have. Its really cute.

Hahaha!
I've cut open the bottom of the couch a few times now trying to retrieve a critter that was never there!
Little devils they are.

Toadie the leashes aren't really practical for a skink. A skinks legs are too tiny to keep the leash from slipping off. On muscular legged lizards like igs, Bearded Dragons and monitors the legs are large enough the loop can't get over them.

Poor Merlin! LOL
It would've been evenfunnier if the baby was in your BEARD and watching you rip the house apart!
Glad you found him though....
