Kudos Nicole! Ever see the movie "Pay it Forward"? I am sure most have been in a situation that we needed a helping hand at least once in our lives. Bad things happen to good people too. Hopefully this family will, someday, be in a situation to help someone else out..just like you helped them. I get called naive alot but I still believe lending a hand to my neighbor. Do I get hoodwinked occassionally?...yes. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...shame on me.

I think it was great what you did. And I agree that everyone deserves at least one chance. I think you should pass along the idea to the family to put $5 aside a month for any future problems.
