Hey there, can someone tell me about the 'elite' statuses, etc!? I have noticed them, obviously, but this is the first time it has stopped me from doing something...so what is the deal with those, and how do they ever change?

Blue = elite has to do with the number of posts. Red = subscribed - means they paid a subscription fee and they get more use of the site.

The elite status is determined by the amount of posts a user has. To prevent a user from joining HC just to use the chat and possibly spam our site with external links, we have limited access to users that have displayed a level of activity on HC that dictates they are not here to cause mischief.

The red usergroup, as described above, is the "Subscribed" usergroup. They too have access. Since they have paid for a subscription, that shows that they will most likely not be interested in spamming any section of the site. If they do however decide to try and spam the site with links, essentially they would have paid for the ads up to the point where we block them and their links permanently from the site.

Just for the record, the elite status will automatically change when you hit "x" amount of posts. (Which isn't 100.)
