Re: Oh I Hate Pet Stores.
There's one pet store in town here that is just god awful. I cant even look at the poor creatures and I haven't been back. I was at PetSmart the other day and the enclosures are soo tiny they make me sick. They had baby Chinese water dragons and they were so tiny I couldn't believe that they were even big enough to sell! I had to look away. But its unreal though their reptile SUPPLIES are really huge~~they have a lot more stuff then ever before I just wish that they would USE them. How bad could it be to USE the big enclosures?? Sorry about my spelling but when I get mad its horrible LOL

Thats the store I go to the most (although its in Perry Hall BTW). Their herps are doing very well, although I have noticed their fish tanks aren't so hot any more... Maybe they should stick to herps!
They are my emergency cricket supplier, although I have finally gotten a pattern down where I haven't run out in a while.
I think their prices are a bit expensive though. $50 for a Red Eye Tree Frog vs $30 at the shows. Most of their supplies are a tad higher than any other place as well.
Stay away from Afishionado in White Marsh. They scare me.

Yes, thats a nice store and have good fish as well as good herps. Its a bit of a drive for me though.
I need to make it down to Wet Pet & Reptile Center, in Essex, MD. Haven't ventured to that one yet. Sometimes work swings me to that side of the beltway, so one of these days...

Re: Oh I Hate Pet Stores.
I've also been thinking about designing business cards to pass out. Here's a suggestion though... if you're planning to design a card for everyone to choose from, use an Avery template for Word ( Business Card Templates) be sure to mention which style it's for. This will make it easier for others to download your cards and get consistent results-- making HCN look GREAT!
As for pet stores, I totally interrupted a store employee talking to a sulcata owner, gave him some diet, lighting, and general care advice... of course I referred him here!

Re: Oh I Hate Pet Stores.
Hey, Rich, Steph, could we put these business cards in their own thread? I would love to pitch in (when I have some time), but I'll never remember they were in this one.
