My neighbor just cut down a beautifull oak tree and i've obtained some unusualy shaped peices. I plan on making a perch for my Leopard Geckos as they love to hang out in the livingroom but need constant awareness as to not escape. I built an awesome perch about 12" high witha cross piece on top that's about 22". My question is how long do I place this in the oven and at what temp to ensure removal of all parasites ??

That's what I thought Jay....but the base if @8'' aroung by 12" high and the cross piece is 5'' around by 20" long with a split fork. Its' freshly cut )yesterday) and it weighs like 15 lbs. I was thinking to get to the center I was looking at at least 6 hrs. I've never attempted this before so I'm kinda in the dark

What I usually do is soak in a weak bleach solution for a day first, then soak and rinse several times with clean water, then proceed to the oven.
