Happiness is.....
Having a helper for cage cleaning....
With the amount of animals I currently own, and the lack of interest from family members (not Steve...he is just too darned busy LOL) ....I always welcome a helping hand...This boy is from Steve's scout troop and has a great interest in reptiles....he claimed to want to be a doctor but I suggested a reptile vet... we need them so badly....oh well  We had a great afternoon cleaning and talking about the snakes, lizards and tortoises....just thought I would share....Have a great night all!!

I agree,, lol,, I have someone I hired who comes in a couple times a week to help me clean cages. It is nice to have that time to do other things like actually work with the iguanas while someone else is cleaning, lol.
Good job on helping educate the kid!

Keep encouraging him. My oldest daughter originally started out wanting to be a veterinarian, changed and went with a dual major of biology/biochemistry and has now gone on to the Public Health - Epidemiology and Food Born Illness for her Masters. He may change and decide to go reptile vet before he's done! My youngest daughter is in college currently for a pre-vet and is trying to decide whether to become a horse vet, or an exotics vet. It's good he has someone who can provide some experience for him with animals.
