Well said Steph! Although I cant say that I have never seen or heard of such ridiculous things.

The story starts out real bad for the herps but ends up better when they say she faces felony charges. That's awesome.

That is ridiculous! I can understand her being angry with him. No man should ever place his hands on a women. To take out her anger though on animals that were not related to the assault, especially in the manner in which she did, was down right sick.

unfortunately, the mental state she probably had,,, was hurt him in in the worst way she knew how as he did to her. To leave him with no control over the situation as he was not there, hence the phone call.
Notice though that he got a misdemeanor charge for the assault on her and she is going down for a felony, i find that interesting........... I am by no means agreeing with what she did, as I find it repulsive.. But there is no statements as to how many times has this happened before, an abused woman, or any person for that matter wether it be kids, women, men etc, go into a desperation mode. Anything to make it stop or anything to regain a little bit of control over their life again, by hurting the very person that has taken that all away from them. In this instance it was hurt the iguanas as he probably treated them a lot better than her, and she knew that would be the ultimate blow.
I am not so sure that jail time would really be of any help, LOTS of counseling YES!
But then again I do not know the whole story, and my opinion is just from an outsider looking in, who used to deal with domestic violence everyday in my previous job.
