It's happened, I'm now the frog adoption mommie

Some lady at work was given 4 frogs by a little boy, who were found in his pool filter. She didn't bring them in, but thinks they are Whites Tree frogs. Strange since they are NOT native. But its warm enough outside so they could survive if they had been abandoned by someone.

I don't really have room right now unless I move Philip out of quarantine a week early.

Hello,

Maybe you need to invest in more enclosures. This is the perfect excuse...reason to expand.

If you decide to take them in, take pics.

unfortunately with my husband being without a job at the moment, more enclosures isn't an option. He knows I'm looking to get a 55 gallon to make a vertical conversion so I can have some red eyed tree frogs. Its just not in the budget.

We were considering getting rid of the futon in the dining room since no one really uses it and making that a critter wall. No money for it right now.

you should talk to the library you work with and get them to set up a tank in the kids section

hmmmm, thats an idea, although they are only awake at night and would make for a boring kids section!

I don't know, the kids seem to love the ones down at the nature center in PG county. They love trying to find them. And if there is a male you could occasionally get it to croak by playing the sound...

Re: It's happened, I'm now the frog adoption mommi

well, good news and bad news about the froggies. The good news is she finally IDed them as Copes Gray tree frogs, which are indeed native to the area.

The bad news is two of them died before she got back to work on friday. She thinks they got too much chlorine from the pool. She let the other two go that night.
