It's feeding day, you thaw the mice (5 in my case), and one of your snakes isn't hungry? You leave the mouse in there for an hour or two, then realize you just wasted $1.00.

And it wasn't even my Ball! It was my Black Rat. My Ball is eating like a Kingsnake .

freeze it back up! its only been an hour or two.

That is one of my pet peeves, you would think they had more consideration than that, I refreeze also if only an hour, no since in wastin a good rat!

Man, I think all your snakes are eating like kings. I'll eat meat that's been sitting out way longer than an hour As for my snakes though, my friends won't let me keep dead mice in their freezer (as if there's room anyway), so if she doesn't eat it it gets tossed regardless of time. Since Ivy gets live lizards, if she doesn't eat they go back in their tank. And since Slyther's a pig I can't remember the last time she refused a meal Personally I don't think an hour would make much difference, but I've never really tried it either.

I re-freeze if it has been an hour or so...but I only do it once. If the same feeder is not taken after another feed I throw it. But this is always a good excuse to get a "trash can"...let's see.... a monitor!(varanus albigularis). I mean....you don't want waste do you? haha .. I always try to con mysef into new reasons for new herps
