Iīm with Nicole in this issue.

Thereīs too much irresponsibility in a few, giving all a bad name and reputation.

Itīs (also) because these stories travel around the world that some countries take very restrictive regulations, which is the case of Portugal, where we are only allowed to keep colubrids. Or, worse, in Norway, where - if Iīm not mistaken - keeping snakes (any kind) is totally forbidden

There is absolutely no way I would move back into that building without them having snake in hand (either living or dead) There is just too much risk that it is still cruising around in there somewhere. This guy is incredibly irresponsible and so are the people that are telling the tenants that the the snake is "probably" gone. Probably? You are dealing with a cobra, people! How are these people going to feel if a child is bitten and dies due to the "probably" gone snake!

Can you buy venomous snakes legally to keep as pets?
Unfortunately the answer is yes. There are expos that feature Hots(venomous animals) and with the advent of the internet you wouldn't believe what you could order. Any kid with a credit card can order the most venomous animals in the world and have them shipped right to their door!

Of course this doesn't meant it is legal for you to have them in your area.

its stories like this that cause knee jerk reactions in the people who make the laws regarding what we can keep as pets.
