Help with a school project on Constrictors
Ok, I here asking for help again, yah I know that’s all I ask for. I’m going to be presenting Constrictors to the elementary school kids starting on Monday, March 25th. That is 550 kids who will be getting the correct information about Constrictors. I want to put together a power point of different pictures of different types of Constrictors. I will also be brining in a 06 ball, an adult ball (loaner snake) and a 06 common. What I’m asking for is any interesting or amusing facts about Constrictors you many know. I’m also asking if you will share pictures of your Constrictors and or video you might have. I’m looking at a deadline of next Wednesday for the information. Once again thank you in advance. Email pictures or videos to them to boydmartin@sbcglobal.net

Hmm, interesting facts...well the green anaconda is the largest constrictor, but the reticulated python is the longest. Some may find it interesting that the green anaconda has a smaller relative, the yellow anaconda, that 'only' gets about 10 feet long. Male constrictors have remnants of legs within the body that end in an external spur. If attacked by a constrictor in the home, pouring alcohol down the throat is one of the best ways to get the snake to release. Those are just a few facts that come to mind.

I'm putting the final touches on the presentation together next weekend, talk about waiting till the last minute. With just soo much to do I'm running out of time, but the kids are begging me to bring in some more herps. So when you have a captive audience you take advantage of it. I would say 90% have never seen a snake up close, so I figured I would start with the big ones. LOL

I'm just looking for a variety of different types. I'm sure the kids have never seen an emerald tree boa or any other kid for that fact. This is a project I sure will grow through the years and will be saved and used again and again. I don't like just taking pictures from the net, as they might have a copy write.

If you also want to deal with the "small ones" and since it´s a presentation for kids, I thing some pics of kids with snakes would be nice to make them more confortable with the idea.
If you want to consider that, feel free to use this one with my 5 yr old daughter and our sinaloan
