Cricket Mishap

Well, I knew it would happen, but not so soon. My daughter had the little box of crickets in her room Saturday and I told her to return them to the basement before we left the house to run some errands.

When we got home not only did she not return the crickets to the basement, she had knocked the box over and some of the crickets escaped into her bedroom!!!

I ended up having to tear her room apart and clean everything looking for the escapees. I was not pleased I believe I got them all, we haven't seen any.

Hopefully she learned her lesson. Always listen to mom!!!

EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!! Don't tell me I will catch all kinds of bugs! I hate bugs, lol

My husband and I were at a wildlife show and there was a person there with some reptiles from a rescue center. He had a very large albino boa (?) it was beautiful and I let him put it around my neck. Then the guy pulls out a giant millipede from some place like Africa and I almost had a heart attach. My husband couldn't believe I would rather be covered in snakes than have a single bug touch me.

Kelly, one of my biggest fears is crickets...I use to go nuts when I would hear them or see them running around the floor. I've gotten to the point where I can even get some out of the cricket container as long as I keep saying to myself, there is not 1000 crickets in there, there is not a 1000 crickets in there. Shivers run up and down my spine as I type this.

Kelly,
I totally agree with you on the bug thing! Yuck............. I especially despise spiders!! I tell you, I see one in the house I run around screaming like a little girl hopping on anything that will get me away from it, lol..
I would rather wrestle an Anaconda or croc then have those things come anywhere near me! I totally panic, its quite pitiful actually!

I second the glue trap thing. They work awesome. I had a cricket breeding explosion in one of my large tanks. I caught well over 700 with glue traps.
