Well here I am!
Here I am near Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui, Costa Rica! We have been having a great time! I don't have much time to write *rented computer time, can't even find the parentheses on this thing* but I wanted to check in and say hello to all my friends! I'm not much good at identifying elusive reptiles in the wild, but I can tell you that I've seen an iguana, an emerald basilisk, common basilisks, house geckos *or something similar*, probably two or three kinds of anoles I can't identify, caimens, poison dart frogs *the green&black ones and the blue jeans ones*, a ground skink *or similar*, as well as a coatimundi, a neotropical river otter, squirrels, and all kinds of amazing birds and butterflies! I'm trying to take lots of pictures, which I'll share when I get back home. The kids are having an amazing experience that I hope they'll always remember! I know I am!

Hello,
Pictures are a must! If you get some good shots of animals we have listed in the R.I.D, I would even be willing to add them for others to enjoy. Heck, if you have them labelled, i will create an images page for people to check them all out!
I hope you keep having a great time!

Oh have so much fun! When my father came back from Costa Rica he came with reports that the hotel staff had brought a 100 foot snake full of monkeys into the food hut to terrify the guests...
something tells me he exaggerated a bit... :P

LOL! No 100-foot snakes yet! Though I did see a green parrot snake -- or parrot-headed snake -- today. Got a good picture. And there is a lovely bat sleeping under the roof of our veranda. This afternoon we will go for a boat ride on the river here, and I hope to see some interesting things.
Sorry to make everyone jealous, just wanting to share!
