Oh yeah. They've had everyone and their mother trying to catch it. Pretty sure as well that it hasn't left the building because it's too cold outside.

I guess that is a good argument for landlords not wanting snakes in their building. Let us know if and when they find it.

And people wonder why we are getting laws prohibiting herps shoved down our throats.

... some people really are just stupid, it is people like that, that are making it harder for responsible pet owners to have the animals they want.

Dumb people frustrate me!

I totally agree what morons. Ive just gotten my ball python but I bet I'm twice as responsible with my little one than that person and I'm only 16! I live in Florida so we are having big problems with people getting Burmese pythons and deciding there to big so they let them go near the everglades "Morons".If your interested in hearing more about the Burmese do some research.

That's a real shame for both the snake and the reputation and freedoms of snake keepers everywhere else. I hope they find it.

I know one decent way to catch a snake is to set up a hide (like a box with a hole in it) and inside keep a dead mouse or prey item of choice tied tightly to a string, with the other end of the string tied to a stationary structure (like a pipe) or staked into the ground. A heat pad can be placed under the box to increase the allurement of the trap. If the snake takes the bait and swallows the mouse, it's now trapped there by the string unless the snake regurgitates its meal. Even if the bait isn't eaten, the heat and darkness of the trap may be enough to attract the snake.

I've been checking to find the latest news. They still haven't caught it. News is that the city of Toronto has spent upwards of $100,000 to try and capture it. The fallout of this is going to be huge I'm afraid. Toronto is only a 2 hr drive from me. I'm sure they're going to introduce some new laws after this.
