Department of Natural Resorces Permit
Have any of you had to deal with getting a DNR permit for owning protected herps? I'm looking into adopting 3 Eastern Three Toe Box Turtles, which are protected here in Michigan. I know I have to get a permit and I e-mail someone, I was just wondering what I was going to have to go thought to adopt. One of our private schools that do a lot of educational programming, they have three that they have had for years. They are now changing their program and want to find homes for them. The institution didn't know that it was illegal to own these turtles and for someone to take them a permit would be involved. Any help would be appreciated.
