Prove your snake love.

I really don't see the love affair with snakes. I've kept red tail boa's and Kings in the past. But they always took a distant second to keeping lizards. Don't get me wrong I certainly find them very beautiful herps. But I just never got the enjoyment out of them that I have with lizards. So you snake freaks Tell me why you prefer them over lizards. (Ease of keeping doesn't count)

Well, aside from only having to feed once a week ...

I like the various colors of snakes.
I like how slow snakes move slowly relative to small lizards which can be gone in a flash.
Snakes have that intangible "something" that lizards don't have with me.

However, in spite of your saying ease of keeping doesn't count, that is a huge draw to me. I sold my leopard gecko because lizards eat and poop too much in relationship to snakes. Lizards need a more varied diet. Some need uvb. I can't imagine the care needed for an Iguana compared to my colubrids.

I like lizards a lot, but compared to snakes they are too high maintenance.

Apparently Knox, despite making several references to the part where I said "ease of keeping doesn't count" that's about all you could come up with. I just can't find your answer very acceptable. I don't think you have proved your love of snakes to me.

I have always been infatuated by snakes, even before I have one. My BP was my very first reptile 6 yrs ago and my favorite. I love my lizards to but, snakes are just so....smooth moving and intriguing.

Okay. You find smooth moving--intriguing. Yet you own a Ford Mustang. I'll admit the glide of a snake over and under anything in it's path is quite something. But Marsha you have not proved your love of snakes to me.

And don't even think of changing your answer now. I know you're thinking about it. You only get one shot at this.
