Darn My Snake-fearing Mom

So.. looks like there will be no more snakes in the time I am in this household. The mom has officially vetoed me getting the Brazilian Rainbow.
I am very sad. I went to visit them today at the ReptileHouse and I they are absolutely amazing.
Mom also veto-ed another puppy, so I'm double sad.
All she has to do is crush my dreams of a bigger salt water tank and I'm done!

The zoo is doing well though. The puppies have a little Pomeranian pup to play with. He has a bit of a respiratory infection and I couldn't bare to leave him in the kennel. So he's here getting better with me
Dyna is still eating every 5 days. I think the pinkies are getting small for her. How do I know when it's time to upgrade to a bigger size?
She looks like she's going to shed again too. Let's hope it goes a bit better this time around!

Maia and Molly are their usual fatty selves. I may as well just let them eat my credit card... thankfully.. the Reptile House can get me 1000 crickets for about 17 dollars with tax. Thank GOD for not having to pay shipping!

Scarlett.. is still without a boy name. Oh well... she's getting ready to shed again too. He's been enjoying the crest rubs. His new favorite thing is diving off the top of one of his shelves into his pool. Then he comes up and makes sure that I'm looking. I wish he would just finish growing so I could feel more comforable letting him out. Right now, he's still at the "ahhhh.. I'm free and I want to jump everywhere" phase when I let him outside of his tank. At least when he's bigger I'll feel better about him having the run of the room.
He's about 17 inches now. little bugger.

Man, I really haven't bugged you all with pics lately. I'll take some pics on Sat so you can see my big huge monsters

Awww...that's sad about your mom vetoing the snake and the puppy...maybe she'll change her mind. If not, when you're in your own household you can get as many as you want

Maybe if you just took one of the "t"s off of Scarlett, it would pass as a boy's name. I think Scarlet could be a manly name

Glad to hear Dyna is eating good for you. You should up the size when you cant see lumps anymore after she has eaten. I just upped the size if pinkie on the only remaining corn babie I have so you can probably do the same. They were about the same size.

so what's the next size up?
lol.. she just ate yesterday and I can't even tell anymore!
Before you used to be able to see it after she ate. Now, not so much. It's part of the reason I've been feeding every two days.
She's growing a LOT. She's shedding again... it seems like she JUST shed!
She's such a good little snake

Unless your supplier has different size grades of pinkies the next step up would be a "fuzzy", and then a "hopper".
