cant wait!

also, my friend and I got our iguanas at the same time, however, they are probaly around the same age, and when we first bought them, we didnt have all of our supplies, so we had them in a 10 gallon tank overnight well anyway, he doesnt want his anymore and was wondering if its safe to keep them both in the same habitat.

this thread has the dimensions.

Iguanas are best kept alone. Some people call pull it off but for a first timer it is always better to only have one iguana. I cannot stand to have more than one iguana in my home at a time because males definitely act differently around other males. I had mine all in different rooms but it was still one big contest to assert their dominance to me because I smelled like the others.
Also you dont want to have two males who will fight or a male female that will mate, or you dont want issues with one over powering or attacking the other.

I agree with Lacey. Some people have done it successfully, usually with huge room-type enclosures. I could also tell you numerous stories of people that tried to keep iguanas in the same enclosure. Things go fine for a while and then one day they come home to a blood splattered cage and seriously injured or even dead iguanas.
If it turns out not to work, do you have the room and the finances to provide another large enclosure to seperate them?
And as Lacy pointed out, just the smell of the other iguana on you may make you a target for an attack.
