photos and/or descriptions of salamander habitats?
Hi there!
I'm new here, just posted an intro thread, and am looking for photos or descriptions of salamander habitats. We have what I think is a very basic one...but never having seen others, I would love to see what else is out there. Ours is a 10 gallon glass terrarium tank with a mix of local soil, dead/rotted leaves, some sticks and rocks, etc. Basically a mimic of the local damp Pennsylvania forest floor inside a glass box. I'm hoping to add some plants in the next week or so. We have 2 very small (1" long) redback salamanders in there. Thanks in advance for sharing any links or photos of your salamander habitats, or related advice! Best, Tara |

Tara,
Sean (my son, the original herper) just found some redbacks a few weeks ago and has so far been able to keep them alive. He will post some pictures tomorrow after school. Hope that helps.
