the stink and the hot!

Ok, so I'm positive that you guys have to deal with this too.

First of all, how do you manage keeping rooms cool! I have two strong heat bulbs in my room. My room is pretty big..
Temps in my room are THROUGH THE ROOF! I feel like I'm in a sauna sometimes!
How do I help manage that?

Also.. I introduced Maia and Molly last night after a month long quarantine. Neither have any health issues.. fecals came back clean and they seems to be getting along GREAT!
The little one was basking on top of the big one today when I came home from work. So I'm very happy with that.
However, I went in to feed them and the combination of two poops in one tank was .. wow...
I have them on reptile carpet. I clean out their poops every single day. Is there anything else I can be doing?

LOL welcome to one of the problems associated with herp keeping. My A/C is always running. About the only thing you can do is build closed enclosures or tops to seal in the heat. But you can't make them air tight. You still need air vents.

Yep. I figured it was cheaper to heat the room and use basking lights. Then to heat all the enclosures. It's difficult if it's in your bedroom. Some circulating fans will help though.

Lol! I know what you mean about the heat, as of late I have 3 CHEs,4 MVBs and 5 basking bulbs, my basement stays at a toasty 80 deg, which is indeed good for the herps, but not good on the ac system thats working over time trying to cool the room...yeah my electric bill is up 100$ since I got mr monitor

Learn to enjoy the heat...
I bask in it, I love walking from my hallway which is 72 degrees into my room which is 80! I think I might be cold blooded....

as for the stink it should motivate you to potty train them, my are water trained, I think merlin has a Bearded Dragon that is trained to go in a tub of water as well...

Both my Bearded Dragons will go in water. If you take them each morning and put them in the sink or tub with a couple of inches of water they will do their business.
Just be sure to thoroughly clean and disinfect the sink or tub.

Yup we have our baby bin rack (open tops), our uro (120+ degree tank), our Leopard Geckos (which barely required any heat the way this room is), two dragon enclosures (a 55 and a 20long), 7 heat bulbs, 3 uvb strips and a MVB all in our bedroom. Not to mention we keep our two ferrets in there, so you can imagine the possible temperatures and smells in there (the ferrets are the worse if we dont keep up on them) we keep a circulating fan and an air filter running 24/7 which helps keep it pretty stable, but on months like the current ones, we can open the windows and help quite a bit too...
