Victory!!!!

So, as some of you know, my columbian red tail just turned 16 last week. now I only adopted him a year ago, and he and I have been doing a lot of work getting him fixed up and healthy, and a lot of that has to do with help from this forum (thanks!!!). when I first got him and his enclosure, there was a heat rock, water bowl, and a bag of crushed acorn substrate. The first thing I did was get a light heating system for him instead of the heat rock, and after multiple episodes of pneumonia (and mucho $$ in vet bills) i got it threw my scull to switch from particle substrate to reptile carpet. He was raised on live rats, which I wouldn’t give him. I was giving him fresh kills, and a few months ago got him to switch over to f/t ones. yay! over all he has been very forgiving of my newbie mistakes, (he's my first herp) and is just a wonderful companion. the only thing he refused to do was eat outside of his enclosure. I’ve been trying for 3 months now, and he just wouldn’t take the rats, so I’d put him back in his house and of course he'd gobble em down. but today...

VICTORY IS MINE! as we speak he is chowing down in a sterilite container and it just goes to show, you can teach a 16 year old boa new tricks
=^.^=
