yea... it was quite the experience..

It was some quick drying polyeurithane thing.. so I'm just letting it sit for a few more days to get the smell completely out before even thinking about doing anything. Wouldn't want my poor animals to go through the same thing I did. I was sure I had enough ventilation.. but, obviously I was wrong

heh, I remember one time when I was making my crestie enclosure a few years back I was working on it late at night...during a tornado warning and a huge storm, in the upstairs part of my house. I called the storms bluff, rushing to get the paint (on the OUTSIDE) on before the rain. Talk about scary. That's a good effort by you! Awesome.

As Merlin said it should at least be a week or two before you put your little ones in. I also read or heard somewhere that when you introduce heat to Polyurethane that it can let out fumes for a while. I dont' know how true this is but I've been told to let it dry with a a light on it for a month!!

it'll be a while before everything is done completely. I just started school too now so it's hard to get anything done when you have class and work.
Gotta love college...

you could also put a radiant heater inside it at a high setting to sweat out the "fumes" id recommend doing it outside and putting the heater on blocks for circulation reasons.
