turtle question
Hello everybody,
I have a turtle question: What is the proper dosage of x-rays for a 10 inch long Red-eared slider?
But please don't tell me to look it up somewhere or ask a vet, because I have already done that, and I still couldn't find an answer.
Thank you

When you say proper, are you asking about the mA, kVp and exposure time for taking an x-ray?

You could try starting with the kVp at 60. If you are going to do a lateral try the setting at .25 for exposure and the mA at 10, and if you are doing a AP view at .7 for exposure since you will be trying to go thru the top of the shell and its thicker. I will try to get more info for you.

I know this is a silly question, but can you tell me what does "kvp" and "MA" stand for?
