I'll ask a silly question!
After Todd's plea for any and all questions and warnings to y'all not to laugh at me; I decided to throw this one out there...
I've had my Brazilian Rainbow Boa (4 year old, 6ft+) for 5 weeks now. She was fed the day before I got her and I've since fed her twice. I bought small rats, so I was feeding her 2 or 3 each time.
About every 4 days or so, I'd clean up a white/yellow solid blob in the cage and (obviously incorrectly) assumed that the bigger ones were feces and the smaller urine...
Well the other night there was a 10" long grey-brown stool in the cage! It was about 2.5" in diameter and looked a lot like a dog's mess (and I mean German Shepherd, not Chihuaha!!) I was completely shocked!! (It was firm and didn't smell too strongly, but it was HUGE!!)
I've only had garter snakes (which ate fish) and green snakes (which ate crickets) before and I've never seen anything like that come from a snake in my life!!
Calculating it all: there are AT LEAST remnants of 8 rats in that...
Should I expect them all to be that huge or do you think she's been constipated?
Wow, live and learn... what'll it be next?
