Hey,
If you look in the loss section, I posted about a second devastating loss; the second one in two weeks.
However, there is good news. I found out my girlfriend swindled an AMAZING deal on a breeding pair of crocodile skinks. I've wanted to get back into breeding ever since I put a stop to all gold skink breeding by me (as they never survive, no matter what, and cost WAY to much money and time). This is perfect because croc skinks were about number one on both Julie and my lists. They usually go before they are even on display in Alberta, all you see is the sold sign. Julie works at a pet store so she snagged them fast. Also, they usually cost $350 for just the lizard...we got the pair and a FULL set up with tons of room for $400. What a steal.
I look forward to september as well. I'll be adding at least one female crestie to my family in order to breed our ultra-veril and very mating obsessed male (Pika stared at Petri non-stop for the last few weeks, even though it was a hard angle from his cage). It's not to replace Petri; nothing can do that. What it will do is allow us to FINALLY breed Crested Geckos like we've wanted to for about a year.
YAY! Good news after all!
