I can't wait for the little bugger to get here!
It's a 29 gallon tank, the temps are maintaining at 93 overall and 108 in the basking spot

Here's a pic of the set-up!

i just figured since it's a smaller tank, it could heat up and be too much for him. I figured some shade would be good for him. Plus I had tons of rocks, so shade became inevitable

yep, that's the blueish light on the right side of the pic.. I've been waiting for this Bearded Dragon for what seems EVER.
I've recycled some stuff from my water dragon ie: her digital thermometer.. an old hydrometer I don't use for her anymore (she got a digital one!)..tons of extra reptile carpet..
I can't wait till I build the big viv for the water dragon, and the little Bearded Dragon gets the 50 gallon that she's in now! I think my favorite part of all of this is setting up the tanks!

no, but i've tested it out with myself putting pressure on different points and then I let scarlett (my water dragon) have a test run and they're stable. Bearded Dragon is coming to me as a teeny little guy.. once he gets bigger and goes into the bigger tank I'll glue them to make sure he can't topple them onto his little body

You know it's not only their weight that can affect the structure but their movements. Even you could bump into the enclosure making the least secure ones fall or become unstable. It only takes a few nozzles of silicone between them.
Better safe than sorry! =)

*nod* you're right.. it's a good thing I have till Tuesday to set everything up and make sure it's perfect! Silicone will hold it well enough you think?

I think so but it would be better if one of the most experienced members in that area could give some tips.
