Outside Basking Cage
Here are some pictures of the outside bearded dragon basking cages I just finished. They are not perfect but they do the job. Had some help cutting the PVC so the length wasn’t perfect. My husband got a good laugh when he saw the amount of PVC pipes I brought home. I guess I’ll have enough for the Chameleon cage also…
Sophie was a bit stressed from all the outside noises and the sunshine. But she got over it. lol
Cost:
¾” PVC Pipe (2- 10’) 3.50
8 ¾” Corners 2.24
4 ¾” “T”’s 1.00
1 yd canvas 2.00
½ yd netting 2.00
Zipper 2.25
Total 13.25

Ken,
It's still a work in progress...I'm making the second one and am all ready making changes. lol Feel free to use the concept (maybe I did something right this time). Tomorrow and Monday it's on to making an outdoor Iguana Cage.

Looks pretty good! Just make sure that there is a place for the Bearded Dragon to retreat from the sun! Even Bearded Dragons can bake!
One thing, with an iguana that cloth mesh will probably not stand up to it's claws.

Thanks guys finished the second bearded cage and am 1/2 through the Iggy cage (one zipper and a top to go). The mesh that I'm using for the Iggy cage is the stuff that goals are made out of (soccer/hockey) and the holes are about 1/8". The only reason I'm making it is that we are getting one of the school Iggys for the summer. lol I'm calling it his summer resort as he is currently housed in a altered wardrobe.
