How big a tank for a mud, musk or red eared turtle?

Well, this will be short and sweet message. I need to know the tank size for the above turtles. I go to sites and it says 10 gallons, and another 40 gallons. Which size is it?

For adults you'll need at least a 55 gallon.

Everything I've read/seen says that muds and musks can be housed in a 20L as adults, but obviously the bigger the better.

RES need at least 55 gallons as adults, preferably bigger.
