After spending some time pondering I had decided how to rearrange spike's enclosure. I made him a new cave out of some old drainage pipe I disenfected ( I love my dish washer it is perfect for pet owners it has a sterilise setting ) and gave him a big branch from our apple tree to climb on. What I also did yo keep the temp up at night was... I had a ceramic hotrock taht I stopped using because of the burning incedents I had heard about so I stacked some large rocks on top of it and put the watter dish on top of that.

I am happey with how it turned out and if anyone has any suggestions on how I can make it better please make suggestions. thanks

Piling stuff up on a heat rock is probably not the best idea. If it overheats and the heat is contained it can become a fire hazard.

Yeah I wouldn't use the Hot rock, just a heating pad under the tank!

Humm.. I would be more concerned about the water dish on top being tipped over.
Beside heating the water will make it evaporate faster thus increasing the humidity in the terrarium. What are the current values?

I have a large flat rock and a large flat water dish that is quite heavy and is large large enought for him to fit his body in im not worried aout it flipping but I have turned off the hot rock and will be replacing it with a real rock.

They are plastic that would be really bad if they were live because they resemble the marajuana plant :P

I didnt chose them my parents got the terrarium for me because at Super Pet ( the pet store near wherre I used to live) had it for a really great deal becasue it was used once the Ex ( Exhibition, its a giant fair held in ottawa every year) they had a corn snake in it for a couple of days and they threw in the lights, plants, Water dish and a flexible branch.
