I agree that "out of sight, is out of mind" and an animal can get easily ignored if it's not close by. And I think that MoLdYpOtAtOe was right about somebody snatching a beautiful iguana from a backyard greenhouse.

What a great housing set up for Bob! It looks like he has plenty of climbing diversions and a great amount of space to move around in. LOVE the photos with the basil!!
How old is Bob? Do you actually walk him with that leash and halter? (Does he like that?)
How did he get that huge scar on his belly?

I agree with MAR. The liklihood of better reptile care is probably linked with how much you are naturally around the reptile.
