BD cage size

I have two BD one male and one female. They have been together since they were 3 months and are starting to get big. I want to build a cage for them but I do not know how big to make it. Could anyone give some sizes that would be good for two grown BD.

As they get older they dont move around as much, you can keep 2 adults in a 40 gl breeder or larger. A 55 gl would be better but 40 is good.

If their male and female your going to want to seperate them, the male will want to breed before the females ready,it can stress her and having eggs before she's big enough is dangerous. plus you'll than have alot of babies to take care of.
Mine are each in their own 3ft long x 18inch deep,X19 inch high wood and plexi glass cage.
