We have 2 sub adult Bearded Dragons. I want to either buld a cage, or we are thinking about buying one from Cages By Design. The unit we are looking at is 48"x48"x24" with 3 climbing ledges, 1 basking ledge, 2 good sized trees, plants, etc. My question is will this be large eniugh to hold 2 adults?

While Bearded Dragons are not large lizards, the adults can still reach sizes of up to 20inches, and so they do require vivariums of a decent size, both in terms of height and width. The recommended minimum enclosure size for one adult bearded dragon is 3ft x 2ft, and you should increase the floor space by 2 square feet for every additional dragon. Height is dependant on where the heat source is allocated, but a minimum 2ft of height would allow you the inclusion of climbing branches.

Yep, as Ken posted the minimum cage size for two adult Bearded Dragons is 3ft x 2ft x 18"-24". The cage you are describing sounds like a mansion for a pair of Bearded Dragons! - I'm sure they will love it. Even room to add another female or two

Just a question - your dimensions.. is the height of the enclosure 2ft or 4ft? 4ft might be a little high for beardeds IMO,. although Bearded Dragons can climb and sometimes like to, they are not adept climbers and can injure themselves if they climb or fall from too great a height.
