Building my own habitat

I'm drawing sketches for a habitat that a friend of mine & I are planning to build and I'm interested in building it with plywood/hardwood and putting slate/tile on the inside for the tegu. Can anyone foresee any problems with that? It should hold the humidity well, be easy to clean (v. cleaning wood), be more aesthetically pleasing, conduct the heat of the lights well, etc. Any ideas/suggestions, etc.?

Thanks, in advance, to all.

Are you making it a walk in encloser big enough for you to get in as well as the lizard?

Well either way you have to check out the strand "making my own rain forest" There is tons of info in that strand you can use. and all of the people who reply on that strand will be able to help you.
