    Preventing Burns

I am done with sealing the interior of Rool's (golden gecko) new enclosure.
I want to use a ceramic heat emitter to keep the temps at around 90 F. I was watching her last night and she is capable of jumping from one surface, and sticking to another surface, at odd angles and lengths.
I am really worried about her jumping onto the screen around the Ceramic Heat Emitter and burning herself. I haven't built the top yet.
I am thinking wood with cut out for the Ceramic Heat Emitter.
    Any ideas?

This is what I did with my boa cage. This is a 150 watt Ceramic Heat Emitter.

Better yet, why not purchase a Heat projector instead of a Ceramic Heat Emitter?

Check it out here Kelly: Mega-Ray HP - 60 Watt Heat Projector - ReptileUV

I have intentionally grabbed one that had been running for hours. It was warm, but I was fine.

That sounds like an excellent lamp, unfortunately, not available here in the U.K at this time... (But I will deinitely be contacting the supplier, in the hope that it soon will be!)

Merlin, I recall seeing a thread with more detail on your heater cage but can't find it. How did you make it? I want to make some kind of cage for a mercury bulb I plan on putting in the middle of my viv so I can grow some plants. But I need to make it lizard proof so my WD doesn't get any burns.
