switching to a bigger tank

My Bearded Dragon is about 12 inches long. I am going to get her a new tank. I would like to get a 75 gallon. Is this too big for her? I would also like to switch her substrate to sand when I get the new tank. Is this a good idea? After reading some of the posts it seems washed childrens playsand is the best sand to use. Do I have to bake it or do anything to it before I can put it in the new tank?
Thank You

12" is the minimum size for sand, its fine right out of the bag. You may find non adhesive shelf liner easiaer to take care of though. At 12" that tank size is fine
