    Re: Great Stuff

A couple more things. The repti filter will keep the water constantly moving and help raise humidity yes? And how long does the silicon have to sit before its ready to put the water in? Oh, and would it be more likely to be found at petsmart or the hardware store? Thanks.

You need aquarium safe silicone, so a pet store would be the place. I know Petsmart sells it. And yes, the filter will raise humidity since the water is moving. I think The silicone needs to sit for 48 hours? Just read the back of the tube, it has directions.

Yes, cure time is 48 hours.
And the room will smell like vinegar even longer!
Some larger hardware stores will carry the aquarium silicon as well. I know Lowes and Home Depot do.
Just make sure that it is labeled as aquarium sealer.

    Re: Great Stuff

I'll just get it at Petsmart. I'm just not happy about putting luigi in a smaller tank for 48 hours. Or would I really have to? I could just set everything up except for the water and leave him in there assuming he won't dig at the silicon. :o

It's not just about him messing up the silicone, it's also about the vapors that happen during the cure. You don't want him contained in any enclosure with the vapors.

Uh oh, he's in his enclosure right now. I did notice the vapors were pretty strong last night but not so much this morning. Will he be ok or should I go home and put him somewhere else.

He's hanging out with me at work now. So after 48 hours is it safe to put him back in?
