my choice of fish, which may or may not p.o. some people, would be wild caught. we had a 55 that we kept crappie, blue gill, bass, and a small northern pike in. they got along just fine. i know they lived with and ate frogs in the wild but i wouldn't put frogs in the tank. minnows, yes, worms, yes, vegetables, yes, ooooo never thought about crickets though. they were all caught from the same lake too! i know how everyone feels about mixing species! i did learn something from all of you!!!

I don't think mixing fish is quite the big deal. And I don't care about wild caught, as long as its not detrimental to the habitat, the animals aren't having a population problem of their own, and the animals are well cared for in transport.

we lived on the lake, caught them ice fishing. i miss that. all the kids were ice fishin at 3 years old.every one of them dropped the scooper in the drink lol. very fond memories of my kids & me, 13 + years ago!

I had a whit perch in a tank for awile, cool to watch. As for not putting fish in a tank used by reptiles, i'm not sure, i heard it somewhere, was'nt sure about it, something about micro-whoknowsit?. lol, didnt make too much sense to me, but I guess I figured better safe than sorry.
