Re: Should I

Making one can be fun and is usually much cheaper.

Re: Should I

If you have access to some tools or know someone who can help you. Doing it yourself is much more fun.

Re: Should I

ive never made one, but ive always wanted to!
If you decide to make one, you must explain the joy of it lol. Maybe I will get motivated then.
Good luck, either way you do it.

Re: Should I

If you have the desire and are willing to take the time to do it right, making your own is very rewarding for both you and your rep. You would be able to customize it to your needs and those of the animal living in it. So you can
make it as big as you have space for and as elaborate as you wish, or you can tone it down some. Look around the site there are lots of awesome ideas.

I would strongly suggest planning it out first though. Make a list of the requirements for your animal and figure out how you will fulfill each of those...

Enjoy and if you do decide to make your own, take lots of pictures and make a log of how you complete each step... = ) We always like for people to add more ideas for future habitats!

Re: Should I

for my backgrounds, I use a spray expanding foam to create shapes. I then stick bark into it in some areas. The other areas I wait till dry and use a combination of sillicone II and dried coco-husk. If you want rock, use cement or mortar. You MUST give it at least a month to dry so all the toxins will be out. Use a water based sealant on it after that month is up.

Re: Should I

Make your own one and the sky is the limit or the ceiling in your home would probably be the limit.
well you can make it the way you want it.
Just dont rush it..
