90 Gallon Tank

I just got a free 90 gallon tank. The previous owner had a 7 year old savannah monitor that died suddenly with red colored bruising on the belly. Suffice to say, since I suspect parasites were the cause, I used 30% bleach and SOS pad scrub with a water rinse down. Looks good now!

...ANYWAYS...

I will likely put my blue tongue in there, for now, and the frillie in the 40 gal that the blue tongue is in. The problem is that it has vents on the sides. 2 of which are missing and 3 of which are broken. In other words, I need to plug them. Any suggestions?

What kind of heating shall I use? I was thinking perhaps that I need a heatpad on one end, since the floor temps here are as low as like 16C sometimes. I will perhaps use 2 150 watt bulbs to heat. Any ideas for something to make it more effeceint?

What is the size and shapes of the vents.
You can find approx 4 inch round louvered vents in the plumbing dept of hardware stores.

You could also make some vents yourself if you can't find the appropriate size. Cut some small plexiglass squares and drill some holes in it.t
I think 2 -150 watt bulbs would probably overheat it unless you ran them on a dimmer. You might be able to get away with running a heat pad on one end and a heatlamp on the other. It will depend on what type on lid you use as well to prevent the heat from escaping.

Re: 90 gal PWNAGE

as for the vents, photos of what it looks like now would really help, or as my friend would say "I think we need photos to verify the severity of the situation"
