You could but that would be like a black hole for heat unless your house is always warm.

You should take that Bearded Dragon to the vet!

You should separate the two Bearded Dragons to prevent transferring the eye infection to the healthy Bearded Dragon. If you have a male and female you might want to separate them or you could have babies. Also the female is under a lot of stress now being sick and she doesn't need a pesky male bothering her. LOL

Make sure you disinfect the cage also.

I would just add hides, not section it off. Agree with the vet trip for the eye. How long has it been lke that? Do you plan on breeding?

Im guessing that the BD's were housed together before you aquired them?
If not then beware of any aggressive behaviour from the male, you might wind up with a few loose limbs if that happens.
Separating them sooner rather than later would be a good idea. Even if they were housed together previously.
If you are breeding them, they dont need to live together all the time, the male would most likely show dominance and only allow the female minimal food.
A 5ftx2ftx2ft tank would suffice sectioned off half way with one in each side. They wouldn't have loads of room but it wouldn't be too small either.
As far as caves go, a few rocks glued securely together looks good and serves as a good hide type of place for them.

Actually no scrap that, it would be too small thinking about it. Sorry.
