Man, definitely post it somewhere. I'd like to know how you did it for $30.

I will definitely be emailing you about that misting system, it sounds really good.

Welcome, by the way.

okay here goes!!

i got a washer pump from O'reilly (one that sprays the windsheild) part number 61-12 for $16.29 then I got 2 sprits bottles at target for a buck each.

take the sprits bottle and cut away at the plastic untill you have the nosel with a good amount of stem on it. http://www.speedphreak.com/gallery/album94/100_9586
http://www.speedphreak.com/gallery/album94/100_9588 and
http://www.speedphreak.com/gallery/album94/100_9591

(sorry for the links... but I couldnt figure out how to add pics
)

then take some line (i used vacuume line from O'reilly) and run one line from ether nosel to a T fitting (also purchased at the O)
then run a third line to the pump outlet.
get a container to hold water and run a line from the pump inlet to the water.
now you will have to get a 120 AC to 12 volt DC adaptor (i had one laying around) splice the end and put some spade conectors on... to match the pump contact size http://www.speedphreak.com/gallery/album94/100_9592

make sure that the polarity is correct (the black with white stripe is +)

if you plan to run it off a timer..... ur done!
if you want to run it manuel then you will need to get an inline switch (one buck at any craft store) the type with the tumb wheel... http://www.speedphreak.com/gallery/album94/100_9594

there you go... just adjust the nosels to the amount of water you want and you have just saved a ton of money....

i have had my systm on a timer for about a year.... sprays 3 times a day for 1 min. at a time and I have had no problems!

any questions..... i will try to be as descript as posslble

ps if you cant tell I cant spell worth a ****.... (but im a **** of a nice guy... i think that makes up for it!! hahaha)

Hmm seems pretty simple. I had my doubts that you could do it for $30. But I guess you're right Except the cost of the power supply.

How fine of a mist does it give off. I guess it's probably equal to the bottle spray?

since the pump has a higher pressure then the sprits bottle originally had... very fine mist is easily aquired. i have mine running for a min. at a time and it does the job.... the spray patern is very nice too. i get full coverage with just two spray nosels in a 3x3x2 cage... prolly one is enough... but I like over kill

here you go...

one power supply after a quick search.
http://www.shopaddonics.com/itemdesc.asp?CartId={C003BDEB-725D-45AD-B48A-EVERESTA0655FE95169}&ic=AAPAC12V1.7A

that and the cost of the pump... still puts you around 30 moneys!!
