Iguana Enclosuree?

Hey. I was just given a great idea from Venus. I was wondering on how to decorate my iguanas enclosure with plants and trees and such stuff like that. I was going to add a palm tree, spider plant, and hibiscus plant. Then she told me that it would be a good idea to ask people to post pics of what they have done for their iguana enclosure. So if anyone has any pics of their iguana enclosures, it would be great if you posted them! After all the pics I will decorate mine and should have it done by next weekend if not then definately by the weekend after! thanks in advance for the pics.

Plants and such are ok in smaller lizard's environments, but iguanas will just destroy and eat the plants....it really isnt worth the trouble....Bearded Dragons are smaller so they dont trample the plants as much.....I believe you were told this in another thread....but good luck if you try it....

I know our iggy would have a ball making a mess of all the plants. I though is keep it simple and easy to clean.

I have a couple of strings of silk ivy hanging UNDER Dizzy's shelf where he doesnt have access to it, otherwise he would ruin it. His cage is all about simplicity.

Yessss... I recall from Bud's first terrarium, I had some plants in there and they were more trouble than they were worth. If it wasn't him eating them, he'd just tear them up.

Again, it's best to keep your iguana enclosure simple. Live plants will get chewed up and destroyed in general; the potting soil used to plant them in is likely to get eaten and cause VERY serious health problems for your iguana. Artificial plants can also get eaten and cause impaction which will REQUIRE a vet visit and probably surgery.

Why not paint a jungle mural instead? Of course, be sure to leave out any animals that might be construed as a threat (snakes, parrots, large mamals, and other iguanas).
