What do you think? Feedback welcome

I am about 2 days away from completing my Bearded Dragon enclosure and wanted to share some pics. The cage measures 44"Lx27"Hx25 1/2"D, the front and back walls and the floor are all made from tempered glass. The glass was given to me by a friend, it measures 40"Lx24"Wx3/16"

I started by framing the three pieces of glass in solid birch, the frames are dadoed and mitered.
Here are a few pics,

Back glass

Test fitting of "natural tumbled stone" tile in bottom glass

These are the cleats that were used to attach the "walls" with the bottom "floor"

Attaching cleats

These are the side panels. Note: the right hand side has been altered to make room for a large access door.

Ok, here is the enclosure with 3 of 4 walls installed

At this stage I was installing the door hardware so I wouldn't mess up the finish when finally hanging it.

The door opens from the top. I installed two catches to hold the door shut

Since taking the last two pics I have removed the side door so that I can finish it,I also filled the wood chips above the door with putty and stained it to match.
Here is one of Drizzt in the new enclosure. He doesn't live there yet but I thought I would give him the tour.

These last two pictures are from this evening.
2/3 of the ceiling is going to be screen, the unfinished frame on top is for the screen. The screen frame is hinged on the back and attached to the back of the enclousre. It opens up and to the rear. The small solid "door" on the left end of the enclosure is also an access point. That door will open up and to the left.

So what do you think? This enclosure has taken up most of a month to complete and I am really very happy with it. It actually turned out better than I'd hoped.

Thanks for looking, sorry this post is so long.

Later,

Chris, looks like you are doing a great job. I have one about the same size made by former students. The only problem I have with mine in keeping it warm enough.

Very sweet. I love to see peeps use their own hands to build something better than what can be purchased out there. Of course size is key...bigger the better...Very Nice.
