Yes, this is for snakes. I can clearly see, however, how rounded corners would make cleaning easier.

I am definitely giving PVC a consideration. I want it to be attractive as well, and painted pvc doesn't look half bad...

You can paint PVC. Krylon fusion. best paint to use for plastic, or you can use vyinl dye. Word of wisdom if there is pvc in the cage, be careful heating it cause it will produces fumes, cause a tumor on your snakes lungs.

if you dont round in the corners, a putty knife, small vacum, do the trick

This is true...but such a pain. It was a big mistake for the skink cage they are the messiest herp I have ever owned! I suppose it would be easy enough to keep clean for a snake, they don't roll around in their food and then their feces and paint laps around the walls...silly stinky skinkies..

skinks? messy? never!

Better fix, their cage is scheduled for a big overhauling. I built it in 2 days without thinking it through and it is so difficult to clean that i'll be putting better doors on it and recessed lighting and sloping walls this winter

If you stack them the viv on top will most likely get warmer than the bottom because the heat from the bottom will escape to the top. Just something to keep in mind, I don't think it will be too much of a problem.
